Welcome to The Village at Playa Pristina

Laying at the southernmost part of Central America is the spectacular country of Panama. Stretching from the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea, Panama connects North America to South America, bringing together the old world and the new.

Its lush and diverse landscape can be experienced from the mountains and hills of the South American Andean system to the many islands with miles of untouched beaches and tropical rainforest abundant with flora and fauna. The country is dotted with lakes and fresh water rivers excellent for rafting and fishing. All of these landscapes are found in a country, which is about the size of South Carolina. Whatever adventure or lifestyle you are looking for, Panama has it all.

Panama is an immigrant nation whose ancestors are native Indians, Americans, Africans, Europeans and Asians. Colonized by the Spanish in the 16th century and influenced by the French, the history and culture of Europe can be seen from the ruins of the old Spanish forts to the European architecture of Casco Viejo. US influenced infrastructure and economic know-how are still present today. The indigenous Indian tribes provide a link to the country’s pre-Columbian history and culture.

The Panamanian way of life is characterized by the laidback attitude and the rich traditions of its people. The Panamanians have a saying that is evident in their daily life “One hand washes the other and together they wash the face.” You will never find a lack of conversation or friends in Panama.

A country of the old world welcoming new and progressive ideas brings a sense of a bright future. Panama is a country of open arms filled with beauty, relaxation and adventure.
